A Garden Wedding
Updated: Mar 13, 2019
We were so pleased to work with Gillie and Eric as they planned their wedding. Gillie worked with Lindsay to select her lovely lace Maggie Sottero wedding gown for her June 2018 wedding. “I knew it was the one when I had no other emotions except happiness. I didn't cry or become emotional. I was beaming and didn't want to put anything else on after that” says Gillie.
Gillie recalls, “I was inspired by the charm of the Plantation on Sunnybrook, where our wedding was held. There is such a beautiful nature feel there and I wanted everything to be covered in greenery and flowers. We had a lot of guests coming from Massachusetts, so we wanted them to have a true southern experience, fried green tomatoes and all!” As a full service wedding venue, The Plantation at Sunnybrook pulled out all the stops to create the lush florals and Southern inspired dining menu the couple so desired.
In keeping with her garden theme, Gillie opted to pair her cathedral length lace veil with a cluster of fresh florals in her hair, and the result was stunning!
As a sweet tribute to her family, Gillie and Eric worked with AmRhein’s Bridals sister business, AmRhein’s Fine Jewelry, to create a completely custom wedding band for Gillie using family heirloom diamonds.
Made from scratch and designed to perfection to fit around oval engagement ring, Gillie was over the moon with the final finished product, and honestly, we are still drooling over it ourselves! Check out these moments and details from Gillie and Eric’s wedding, captured by Mike Topham Photography. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Henricksen!
