Cristiano Lucci Bride
Updated: Mar 13, 2019
We had the pleasure of meeting Annie last year when she
came to Roanoke from West Virginia on the search for her perfect wedding gown. Annie had already planned her wedding venue and date. She had an idea of the type of wedding she wanted, but she wasn’t quite as certain about what she wanted in her wedding dress. As we began to work together, Annie’s sweet and calm personality led the way. This dress needed to reflect Annie.
During the appointment, the words “romantic”, “soft”, and “classic” with a dash of "organic boho" kept popping up.
“I didn't pick out my wedding gown but was open to Lindsay's suggestion to try it on." Says Annie, “I thought it was pretty, but it wasn't something I would've picked out for myself.” When Annie donned her Cristiano Lucci wedding gown
for the first time at her initial appointment, everyone in the salon had the same reaction.
As Lindsay, Annie’s stylist recalls, “I remember that Annie’s mother and I kept saying that while other gowns we had tried on that day were beautiful, the Cristiano Lucci gown was ‘remarkable’ and ‘memorable’. It was the gown that really stood out to all of us at the appointment that day as being a perfect complement to Annie’s personality and figure, and it was so well suited for the wedding she was envisioning.”
The classic silhouette of the gown paired with the dramatic, neckline and the bold romantic lace were the perfect formula and Annie fell in love with the unexpected choice.
Just this past July, Annie and Josh were married at the scenic Valley View Farm in Lewisburg, WV. Their day was captured by the talented Jasmine of Jasmine White Photography. Personally, we are obsessed with her floral choices, which were executed by Gillespie’s Flowers of White Sulphur Springs, WV. Annie told us, “I really love fresh flowers and have always envisioned flowers being a big part of the decor for my wedding. When I started discussing plans for the decor with our florist, I told them I wanted soft, romantic colors, and I showed them a few photos I'd seen on Pinterest, the main one being of pink astilbe. I give Gillespie's all the creative credit because they really made my dreams come to life!”
Boy did they!
The floral arch was a perfect backdrop for the exchange of
vows and a breathtaking floral chandelier was the piece de resistance over the dance floor at the reception! Swoon-worthy would be an understatement!
When it was time to select wedding party attire, Annie and her girls visited us again. “I knew I wanted a shade of rose/blush for the bridesmaid dresses and found the perfect shade at AmRhein's from Jasmine Bridal (‘Geranium’- it's even a floral name!)
We chose navy for the groomsmen to wear because I thought it would be a less harsh contrast against the pink than black or gray. It also brought out Josh's blue eyes.” The deep dusty rose color paired with navy stood out against the landscape of the farm in the most beautiful way! All of Annie’s carefully crafted choices added up to one incredible wedding day.
“My favorite [moment of the day] would definitely be getting to the beginning of the aisle and seeing Josh, knowing after so many years we were finally going to be married.
I'm going to break the rules and give my second favorite [as well], which was having our loved ones from so many seasons of our lives all
together on the dance floor at the reception. Everyone was having a great time, and it's like they had all known each other for years!” says Annie.
We are sure you will enjoy browsing through these lovely photos as much as we enjoyed helping Annie create her perfect wedding day. Happy pinning!
